A season for renovation, refurbishment... and staff training!
If you are working in the hospitality industry, then it is likely that you are currently elbow deep in refurbishment and decorating work. Some of us experience some precious down time where we can get these jobs done for which we never have any time – replacing those frayed curtains, a lick of paint or a whole refurb of the conservatory. Because as we all know – the start of the crazy season is not far away. It never is.
At this time of the year it is also time to get your team together. Is Margaret coming back, has Ian found a new place to live yet nearby and who is going to run the bar this year? It’s like starting a new puzzle, piece by piece.
If you are in need of some recruitment help, don’t hesitate to get in touch. With years of experience in recruiting, I can be that vital pair of fresh eyes, conducting and supporting with staff interviews.
Once you have filled the vacancies, your new team has to work together as one and hit the ground running. No bigger headache than to train new staff when the season is well underway. Is all the staff on the same level? Have they got experience or are they new to the trade? How are they going to fit in together and how are you going to get them to pull at the same string?
Before I conduct any customer service training, I am going to spend time with yourself to get a better understanding of how your business works, what the areas are you want to focus on and to learn more about your ethos. At Hands On Consulting nothing is off the shelf and you are really getting what you are wanting for your staff.
Training is key if you want to
- improve staff morale
- maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- reduce customer complaints.
So don’t hesitate to get in touch for an informal chat!
PS:
As an employer you also have to comply with HSE regulations to have trained First Aiders on your premises. Get in touch with me if you wish to discuss your requirements and for a free risk assessment, please visit our First Aid Training Co-Operative website.
